GTU- Graduate School of Engineering and Technology Faculty members and Students visited Gujarat Vidhyapeeth for "Heritage Walk".
An institute established by Mahatma Gandhiji on 18th October, 1920. It is a National University without a government charter.. A true destination for knowledge and to understand the Indian culture.
Gandhiji was its life-long chancellor. Professor A T Gidwani was its founder vice-chancellor. After Gandhiji, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Morarji Desai adorned the post of chancellor of the Vidyapith.
In this university they conducted many courses and they teach art and craft
Mr. Jalpesh Patel is our guide and he show as a whole university. there is a very peaceful environment in all over the Vidhyapith along with we all visited Hirak Mahotsav Mall and
Moraji Desai Museum where main point of attraction is Nishan e Pakistan ( the only Indian Prime minister who got highest civilian award of Pakistan ) and Bharat Ratana Award .
Then we visited Dr. Rajendra Prasad Convocation Hall, where all the students received there convocation degree where they taught everyone is equal even Prime minister has to be follow the University Protocols.
IT has well managed Library where the collection consists of Dictionaries, Directories, Encyclopedias, Year book, Almanac, Bibliographical sources, Hand books, Manuals and Geographical sources. Total collections in reference section are more than 25000 volumes.
Then we have visited Adivasi Museum , It houses an excellent museum and a good library within its premises to provide insights into the tribal way of life and culture to students, academicians, foreigners and other visitors.
At end we came one more step closer the Gadhiji's philosophy and it is very beautiful and knowledgeable visit.
